Welcome to the Southern California Landscapes Gallery, a unique blog for you to enjoy the beauty of Southern California.
MISSION:
The Southern California Landscape gallery aims to highlight some of the most appreciated landscapes that Southern California has to offer. It is one of the most populous urban regions in the united states and contains many natural/ man-made tourist attractions. Southern California is also a great region to obtain a versatile range of landscape photography.
VISION:
Our vision for this website was to feature impressionistic photography ranging from natural scenery to industrial and civil architecture. In addition, we wanted to highlight just how versatile the landscape of Southern California truly is. The vision was facilitated through the specific artists chosen, as well as the four categories to be further delved into.
ART IDEAS:
The type of art chosen for this gallery was photography. We chose to only use photographed art pieces because pictures would best showcase and express the landscapes. The four categories highlighted are Oceanside Landscapes, Urban Landscapes, Mountain Range Landscapes, and Desert Landscapes.
ARTISTS:
The artists chosen for the aforementioned categories are Patrick Smith, Trey Radcliff, Jack Brauer, and James Liu. Patrick Smith is an oceanside focused photographer based in San Francisco. Trey Radcliff is a traveling photographer and blogger with almost 9 million followers on google plus, over 4 million followers on Pinterest, 350+ thousand on Facebook, and 130+ thousand followers on Instagram. He enjoys capturing everything from festivals to art and architecture. Jack Brauer is a Colorado native photographer that specializes in mountain range scenery. James Liu is a wedding photographer that used to take landscape photographs. He uses his prior landscape art experience as a sort of inspiration for his newfound focus.
